Designer silk saris, cotton saris, and churidars on display
Special silk saris, cotton saris, churidars, designer shirts, pillow covers, dhotis, towels, shirts, Meerut and Jaipur bedspreads are on display at the Christmas’ 2017 and Pongal’ 2018 special sales at Co-optex Vasantham showroom in the city.
J. Maduram James Chellaiah of CSI Brough Memorial Church inaugurated the exhibition cum sales on Saturday in the presence of managers R. Ranjini (Government Schemes), D. Nandagopal (Design and Manufacturing) P. Balamurugan (Garments), P. Amasaveni, Assistant Zonal Manager (Administration) and K. Chandrasekaran (Showroom Sales Manager) and other employees.
Target
Officials said that during the last annual exhibition in the Coimbatore division, a sales target of Rs. 6.54 crore was achieved, while the target for the current season was fixed at Rs. 8 crore. Similarly, Erode showroom sold materials worth Rs. 81.64 lakh last year, while the target for the current season was Rs. 1.02 crore. Special discount is also available for every purchase and people are asked to utilise the opportunity.

The annual Christmas, New Year and Pongal festival exhibition brought up by the Co-optex got under way at its Thangam Pattu Maaligai showroom in the city on Thursday. The Co-optex has set a sales target of Rs. 6.70 crore for the Salem region.
A discount of about 30 % for all the purchases made during the special exhibition will be continued till January 31 next year.
Specially designed Kancheepuram silk saris made by the weavers attached to the cooperative societies run by the Co-optex are on displayed at the exhibition.
Rt. Rev. S. Singaroyan, Bishop of Salem Diocese, inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Shanmugam, regional manager of the Co-optex, R. Boopathy, Kalaivani and M. Thangavel, all directors of Co-optex.
