FORMER landscape gardener John (Selwyn) Dunn, of Hoyles Road, Wellington, has died at the age of 87.
Mr Dunn moved from Devon and set up home in Wellington to work on a farm before starting his own business Wellington Landscapes, working with son Keith on sites for Costain Homes, Wimpey homes, Lovell partnerships, DMD Construction, N G Stodgell and private clients.
Keith said John came from the old farm school with strong a work ethic which “he bestowed on me from an early age, teaching me how to get levels correct by the eye and many other earthly skills.”
Keith added: “My sisters and I will miss him dearly, having lost our special mum in June last year.
“They were married for 50 years and their love was very true, sticking together through thick and thin. Now they are together again.”
The funeral will be held at Wellington Baptist Church in South Street, Wellington, the date to be confirmed.
