The Government loves animals. Absolutely loves them. In fact, there’s only one thing it loves more than animals – and that’s telling you how much it loves animals.
Take the latest photo on Theresa May’s official Instagram page. It shows a beaming Prime Minister, crouching in the street to fondle a passerby’s bemused-looking dog. “Say hello to Blitz!” coos Mrs May in her caption. “A beautiful dog I bumped into near my constituency this morning.” The Prime Minister concludes her message with two tiny computerised paw prints.
